Music Fusion (YMAZ Southern) seeks new board members
From April 2009 this dynamic and successful Youth Music Action Zone (currently managed by a consortium) will become a company limited by guarantee with charitable status. This is an exciting opportunity for the right people to join the new board and contribute to shaping positive futures for young people 0-25 with the least opportunity to make music in Hampshire, Portsmouth and the Isle of Wight region. Our Youth Music funding is committed to 2010.
Music Fusion is looking for a Chair and between 4 and 8 board members with an interest in developing our work with all kinds of music and young people. It seeks professionals with a strong track record in strategic planning, finance, legal requirements, marketing / PR, children / young people, social inclusion and music. The positions are voluntary but expenses will be paid.
Commitment: Board Members are expected to attend 4-6 meeting per year (daytime in Hampshire) whilst reading all relevant papers and making personal preparation before hand.
